GateHouse Maritime Joins Network of Chain.io to Enable Further Predictability of Ocean Shipping for Forwarders
NØRRESUNDBY, April 11, 2023 – Today, GateHouse Maritime made the announcement that it has joined the network of Chain.io, a cloud-based integration platform that links partners across the global supply chain. This integration fulfills a crucial need by enabling forwarders to view and use insights from GateHouse Maritime directly in their transportation management system (TMS).
Thanks to the integration between GateHouse Maritime and Chain.io, forwarders are now able to track ocean freight at the container and vessel level using OceanIO from GateHouse Maritime. Shipment information from GateHouse Maritime, such as vessel name, voyage number, origin, or destination, passes through Chain.io for translation and is delivered into a forwarder’s TMS or other client systems. “Freight forwarders spend too much time manually looking for and gathering information about their customer shipments,” says Brian Glick, CEO of Chain.io. “By adding GateHouse Maritime to our network, forwarders will have another way to access milestones and shipment details from within their TMS so they can stay one step ahead of their customers’ needs.”
By integrating data from GateHouse Maritime with Chain.io, forwarders can now receive accurate insights in real time, allowing them to be more proactive in their communication with clients about shipment locations or potential disruptions.
